1、 Maintenance of welding gun
1. Regularly inspect and replace the conductive nozzle. If the aperture of the worn conductive nozzle becomes larger, it can cause unstable arc, deterioration of the weld appearance, or wire sticking (back burning); The splashing on the end of the conductive nozzle will cause the wire feeding to become uneven; If the conductive nozzle is not tightened tightly, the threaded connection will heat up and weld to death.
2. Regularly clean and replace the spring hose. After long-term use, a large amount of iron powder, dust, and welding wire plating debris will accumulate, which will make wire feeding unstable. So regular cleaning is important. You can curl it up and gently tap it to shake off any accumulated material, then blow it off with compressed air. Wash the oil stains on the hose with a brush in the oil, and then blow them off with compressed air. If the spring hose is twisted or severely deformed or bent, it needs to be replaced with a new hose. When replacing the pipe, it should be confirmed that it is suitable for the diameter and length of the welding wire used, and there should be no burrs on the cutting section.
3. If the JUE edge ring is removed for welding, splashes will adhere to the nozzle and make it conductive to the live part during the inspection of the JUE edge ring. The welding gun may burn out due to a short circuit. At the same time, in order to ensure a uniform flow of protective gas, it is necessary to install JUE flange rings.
2、 Maintenance of the wire feeding device
1. Adjust the pressure on the wire feeding roller according to the diameter of the welding wire used. If the pressure is insufficient, the welding wire will slip; If the pressure is too high, the welding wire will be scratched and deformed. If using cored wire, the pressure applied to the wire feeding wheel is smaller than that of solid cored wire.
2. The adjustment method of the welding wire straightening device varies depending on the machine type, and should be adjusted to the appropriate position of the corresponding welding wire diameter according to the markings of the manufacturing automation welding manufacturer.
3. If the installation of the welding wire disc is not in place, there is a risk of the welding wire disc falling off during rotation, resulting in serious consequences. Check whether the brake pads or pins are securely installed.
4. The wire feeding wheel and the diameter of the welding wire used must be equipped with a wire feeding wheel suitable for the diameter of the welding wire used, and the number engraved on the roller must be checked to ensure that it matches the diameter of the welding wire used.
5. Wear and dirt inspection of the groove of the wire feeding roller. Check whether the groove of the wire feeding roller is worn, whether the surface of the groove is scratched, and whether dust, iron powder, welding wire plating chips, etc. are adhered to the groove. When cleaning, use a cotton cloth or other cloth to wipe it clean.
6. The inspection of the wire guide nozzle is installed before and after the wire feeding roller. If the wire guide nozzle is worn or not level with the wire feeding roller, it can cause welding wire bending and unstable wire feeding. Therefore, regular inspection and maintenance are necessary.
