Automated production requires a small amount of labor, product consistency, and quality improvement, making it more suitable for large-scale production, thereby reducing production costs and efficiency. However, in manual welding, it is difficult to ensure long-term continuous welding operations due to factors such as technical level, fatigue level, sense of responsibility, and physiological limits. In addition, due to the harsh welding environment, fewer and fewer people are willing to use their hands for welding, and there are also fewer and fewer skilled workers. It can be said that the current welding robots have basically met the requirements of automation.
The advantages of automation products can be summarized as follows:
1. To stabilize and improve the welding quality, making it uniform. Welding process parameters such as welding current, voltage, speed, and dry elongation have a significant impact on welding quality. When using robots for welding, the welding parameters of each weld seam remain unchanged and are not affected by human factors, resulting in a decrease in the welding process level and ensuring welding quality. However, during manual welding, the welding speed, dry elongation, and other factors may change, making it difficult to ensure product consistency.
2. The working environment has been improved. Using robots for welding, operators only need to unload the workpiece to avoid welding arcs, sparks, etc. During spot welding, workers do not need to carry heavy manual welding pliers, which can reduce their heavy physical workload.
3. Improve labor productivity. The robot can produce continuously 24 hours a day. Due to the adoption of high-speed and high-efficiency welding technology, the welding efficiency of the robot has been significantly improved.
4. The production cycle of the product is clean and easy to produce. Due to the synchronous manufacturing time of robots, the scheduling of manufacturing progress is very clear.
The difference between robots and specialized machines is that they can adjust programs based on different products. Of course, the advantages of welding robots go far beyond this. In future development, there will be more opportunities to replace manual labor.
